Saturday night, at his home at Mace, Thomas J. Wilson died of pneumonia after a short illness. The funeral service was conducted yesterday at Mt. Pisgah. Thomas Wilson was a well know and highly respected citizen of this county where he has lived many years. He was a leading politician in his locality and was for a time a county commissioner. - transcribed by kbz

Thomas J. Wilson died at Mace Saturday evening after a six days’ sickness of typhoid pneumonia. The funeral occurred at Mt. Pisgah today at 10 o’clock. Mr. Wilson was a good man, respected by all who knew him, and his record is an honorable one. He was strong in the Democratic faith, served several terms as county commissioner and was once a candidate for the Legislature although unsuccessful. =s
